Les Sybelles is the most extensive ski domain in France. Located in the Maurienne valley, the ski area is home to 6 resorts: St Jean d'Arves, St Sorlin d'Arves, Le Corbier, La Toussuire, Les Bottieres and St Colomban. It's the most extensive ski area in France.

Skiing in Les Sybelles

With 310km of slopes, Les Sybelles have no reason ti be jealous of other ski area like The Grand Massif or The Portes du Soleil. The area is perfect for beginners and intermediates skiers due to a majority of easy slopes: 24 green runs, 57 blue, 41 red and 6 black. With slopes above 2,500m, great snowfalls are guaranteed all the season. 

Snowboarders will enjoy the 2 snow parks and skiers special runs for new style of skiing. There is no doubt. Les Sybelles ski area can suit the needs of the majority.

Les Sybelle ski area is relatively undiscovered, that's mean limited queue and a lack of crowds on the slopes. You will appreciate the spectacular scenery around the runs. Slopes, lifts and other equipment were designed to protect the landscape and minimise its environmental impact. On some runs it's not unusual to find yourself skiing alone and have the impression to be in the middle of nowhere.

You will definitely appreciate the tranquillity of this domain and come back relaxed with a lot of beautiful pictures after few day skiing. 

The Resorts

IIts resorts are not well known to tourists for the moment. It's certainly for this reason that the 6 villages are still very rustic and traditional, perfect for a change of scene. Villages have kept a family atmosphere, you will not find a busiest nightlife. However you will enjoy the local cuisine – fondue, tartiflette, raclette – and activities like ice skating or ski-joring.
