Isola 2000 - Resort description & ski information

Located in the southern French Alps, just 90km from Nice, Isola 2000 is one of the few places in the world where you could feasibly ski in the morning and dip your toes in the Mediterranean in the afternoon. So far south, it offers plenty of sunshine married with an excellent snow record, with some runs starting as high as 2610m. Although this purpose-built resort is far from the prettiest in the area, its location and variety of runs make it an excellent choice for families and groups of mixed ability.

Skiing in Isola

With some comfortable nursery slopes, a good range of blues and reds, and some testing blacks, Isola can accommodate most levels of skiing. Many of the runs end in the resort itself. Whilst some of the more testing blacks, especially in the St Sauveur ski area, are rewarded with stunning viewson the blue Mediterranean on clear days. Snowboarders are well catered for with a decent snow park with half pipe and boarder cross. The area is prime for off-piste skiing, or even heliski for the more adventurous.
