La Tania - Resort description & ski information
La Tania is the newest resort in the Three Valleys area, and as such is one of the most pleasant. The village's wooden buildings give it a cosy feel, while the friendly cosmopolitan atmosphere makes it a lot less pretentious than some other resorts in the area. Tucked in between Courchevel and Méribel, this car-free village is perfect for families and those looking for a more laid-back approach to this at times overwhelming ski area.
Skiing in La Tania
The skiing immediately round La Tania is mainly off-piste, with some good long blues and reds too. There are only a couple of lifts out of La Tania, used to reach the slopes of Courchevel or Méribel. With the appropriate lift pass, you will cover the Courchevel-La Tania area. From Courchevel, where you'll find some good beginners' skiing, some fantastic blacks and a snow park, you have access to the entire Three Valleys area. Home to 600km of pistes, and considered one of the best and largest ski areas in the world, it contains a staggering 52 green runs, 128 blue, 123 red and 33 black., not to mention endless off-piste opportunities and some really wonderful scenery. For more information on skiing in the Three Valleys, see our pages on Courchevel, Méribel, Méribel-Mottaret, Les Menuires and Val Thorens.

Once you have had enough skiing, La Tania has snowshoeing, skidoos and paragliding to try out, while those wanting to stay indoors can make use of the fitness club's pool and sauna at the Hotel Montana. Aside from that, the village is generally a sleepy one with a cluster of inviting bars and restaurants to enjoy. If you're looking for busy nightlife, head over to Courchevel or Méribel.
