Ski France - The Grand Massif

Grand Massif

Grand Massif is located between Geneva and Mont Blanc in Haute Savoie. It’s the 4th largest ski area in the Alps with 5 interconnected resorts: Flaine, Les Carroz, Samoëns, Morillon, and Sixt Fer à Cheval.

Skiing in Grand Massif

With 265km of slopes, Grand Massif offers great ski opportunities. Thanks to its variety of terrain, the area can suit the need of the majority. There are a total of 140 runs with 17 green, 64 blue, 46 red and 15 black to spread your wings. With just one lift pass, you have a direct access to 5 linked resorts. Grand Massif is ideal for those looking for a big area without queues or too much people on the slopes.

You will find an efficient lift network and therefore you will not waste your time.
The area is known thanks to numerous Olympic winners like Antoine Deneriaz who learnt to ski on the Grand Massif slopes. The Grand Massif offers amazing views with its two Nature Reserves and the Mont-Blanc. It’s perfect for those looking for a change of scenery and relaxing ski break.

Thanks to its location, The Grand Massif guarantees good snow falls all the season and takes advantage of the Lac Leman’s micro-climate.

The Resorts

This well-preserved valley has stone buildings dating from the middle-ages, alpine pastures and village houses.
Samoens, Morillon, Les Carroz and Sixt Fer à Cheval are the perfect example of authentic alpine villages meanwhile Flaine is a built resort with everything you need to have a great time. Grand Massif is the perfect place to relax with plenty of activities for skiers and non-skiers as well. Après-ski activities include ice skating, dog sledding, snow scooters…

See our page on Flaine to find more information about the resort and our accommodation.
