Location

Located within the stunning Val Thorens' Balcons district, just minutes from the mountains, Le Chalet Altitude offers plenty for guests of all ages to enjoy. There is a huge range of activities on offer in the local area, with everything from fishing to canoeing in the beautiful river.
Those wanting to simply relax can make the most of the cosy living room which can be found within each of the apartments, ideal for winding down after a long day of activities. Alternatively, there are plenty of small local villages to explore, as well as historic and cultural attractions in the local area.

Accommodation

The residence Le Chalet Altitude consists of 20 traditionally decorated apartments, built in a classic Savoyard style. The warm, wooden interiors of these apartments are warm and welcoming, especially after a long day of skiing and exploring.

The cosy chalet offers ski in/ski out facilities, ideal for those wanting to enjoy as much time on the slopes as possible before relaxing by the fireplace in the living room in the evening, a bag of firewood will be offered at the arrival.
The residence offers a heated indoor swimming pool and a sauna.
There are also a luggage room, ski lockers, and a covered car park (to be paid extra).

Guest can rent for free baby cots and high chairs at the reception, as well as raclette and fondue appliances.

Board Options

The apartments of Le Chalet Altitude are self-catered. Guests are invited to make full use of the modern kitchen facilities, including a microwave, stove, oven, dishwasher and fridge, with close proximity to the local supermarket for keeping the cupboards stocked with groceries. Those wanting to eat out will find an exceptional selection of restaurants serving hearty French, British and other international fare in the resort.

Each apartment has free wifi and a TV. Sheets and towels are provided, beds are made upon arrival and towels are changed at mid-stay. Guest can find bathrobes at the reception. A cleaning pack is provided and the end-of-stay cleaning is included.

Val Thorens

During the summer months when the snow has melted, Val Thorens becomes a green and rural resort with a blooming selection of flowers and trees, brought out by the bright sunshine. Ideal for exploring and its selection of outdoor summer sporting activities, the region is just as picture perfect during the warmer summer months as it is throughout the winter.

Activities

When the weather warms up, the icy rivers and frozen high altitude lakes of Val Thorens become perfect for fishing and rafting. Family holidays to Val Thorens during the summer will be packed full of activities, and children of all ages can enjoy taking donkey rides in the sunshine and seeing the goats in the high mountain pastures. Action-packed adventures go hand in hand with holidays to this mountainous area, with hiking, cycling and paragliding proving to be popular summer activities.

The Savoy region of France is well known for its rich cultural heritage and impressive Baroque architecture and holidays in Le Chalet Altitude are perfectly placed to explore this history. During your stay, don't miss the chance to go on a guided tour of Savoyard Baroque buildings such as the Notre Dame de la Vie Sanctuary and the Saint Martin village church. Another sightseeing opportunity in Val Thorens is the Burdin Mill, an ancient grain mill which has been restored to working order and opened to the public.

Payment Conditions

Ski France offers 3 options for payment:

1) Pay in 3 instalments: 10% deposit at the time of booking, 10% two months before the date of arrival and the remaining balance one month before the date of arrival. This method of payment is only available for bookings made by telephone more than 70 days before the stay.
2) Pay in two instalments: 10% deposit at the time of booking and payment of the remaining balance 30 days before the date of arrival. This method of payment is only available when the booking is made more than 31 days before the arrival date.
3) Pay in 1 instalment: pay the full amount at the time of booking and receive a discount of 15 GBP on the overall price of the stay. This method of payment is valid for stays of 7 nights or more, booked more than 40 days before arrival and for a minimum purchase of 150 GBP.

- Any extras added more than 30 days prior to arrival will be added to the final payment
- Any extras added after the final payment to be paid at the time of addition to booking.
- If the booking was made under the 'non refundable' terms, the total amount will be debited at the time of the booking (the discount of 15 GBP is not available on these prices).

Methods of payment accepted:
Visa, Mastercard, American Express, cheques*, holiday vouchers*.
*(only for reservations made more than a month before arrival).
For payments desired by cheque or holiday vouchers the deposit must be paid by way of debit/credit card - Visa, Mastercard, American Express and the second and/or third payment can be made by cheque or holiday voucher.
Arrival date less than 40 days: The total amount of the booking must be paid in full online, by debit/credit card at the time of booking.

Cancellation Conditions

- If you choose Standard Conditions

If the client cancels a reservation the following amounts will be retained:
-Between 30 days and 15 days before arrival: 25% of the price of the holiday
-Between 14 days and 9 days before arrival: 50% of the price of the holiday
-Between 8 days and 3 days before arrival: 75% of the price of the holiday
-Less than 2 days before arrival: 100% of the price of the holiday

- If you choose Free Cancellation Conditions

If the client cancels a reservation the following amounts will be retained:
-More than 30 days before the arrival date: repayment of the deposit
-Between 30 days and the date of arrival: 100% of the total price will be retained.
-No show: the total price of the reservation will be retained

- If you choose Non Refundable Conditions

As part of the low price non-refundable offer, in the case of a cancellation you will be invoiced for the total amount at any time.
