Location

The Residence le Cheval Blanc can be found in the stunning Val Thorens resort, just five minutes from its centre. Here guests will find a range of shops, bars and restaurants, as well as activities and amenities such as the sports centre. The backof stunning mountains and forests provides guests with plenty of opportunities to take part in a range of outdoor activities, with the chair lift just minutes from the property.

Apartments

Enjoy the comforts of the Residence le Cheval Blanc during your stay, with added touches of luxury to ensure you feel more at home. There is a satellite TV, as well as free WiFi in the complex. Sheets and towels are included, beds are made upon arrival, and towels are changed at mid-stay. A cleaning kit is at your disposal (sponge, dishwashing liquid, dishwasher, garbage bags, cloth) and the end-of-stay cleaning is included.

Each of the rooms are decorated in a warm and cosy French mountain style, with warm wooden furnishings, comfortable interiors and warm colours. There are large windows in most of the rooms, ensuring guests can make the most of the pretty views over the mountains, as well as the twinkling lights of the resort during the evening. There is also a fully equipped open-plan kitchen in each, offering guests the opportunity to enjoy the freedom of a self-catered holiday in the Alps. Each of the apartments also has its own balcony.

The residence offers for free a luggage storage, and ski lockers. Guests can rent baby cots and highchair at the reception and raclette, fondue and pierrade appliances. There is also a bakery delivery service.

Board Options

All of the apartments at the Residence le Cheval Blanc are self-catered, meaning guests can enjoy freedom to make their own meals in the open plan kitchen, or enjoy the restaurants in the resort. Val Thorens is home to a small range of restaurants, serving delicious hearty French dishes as well as some international options. For those wanting to prepare their own meals there are local shops and small supermarkets within the resort, perfect for picking up supplies.

This beautiful area is well known for its incredible skiing opportunities during the winter, with an equally fantastic selection of activities to enjoy in the summer as well. Hike or mountain bike through the incredible ranges of the 3 Valleys and explore the lakes, valleys and pretty forests as you go. Alternatively, simply wander through the town and surrounding natural landscape before stopping off for a picnic with the little ones. Activities

Throughout the summer there are plenty of opportunities to explore this stunning region, with bright blue skies and warm sunny days to be enjoyed. Keen hikers can make their way to the top or take the chair lift for some amazing views. Cyclists will find mountain biking trails to enjoy, and there is plenty for families to try as well. The tourist board often puts on activities, including discos and sports, during the summer months, while there are also donkey rides available in the town. For water-based sports, the pretty river also offers visitors rafting, and fishing in its crystal clear waters.

Things to see

There are plenty of places to explore near Val Thorens throughout the summer season, with culture and history lovers finding plenty to keep them occupied. The Notre Dame de la Vie Sanctuary and the Saint Martin Village Church are fascinating examples of Baroque architecture, steeped in the history of the region. In the town itself there is also the Burdin Mill, which has been restored as a grain mill and is now open to the public.

Please inform the reception or the reservations centre in advance and we will advise you of the late arrival procedure.

Key Collection

Check in is from 6 pm onwards. The keys are available at the reception on presentation of your voucher. Keys are to be collected at the Hotel Village Montana.

Deposit

Upon arrival, you have to pay a deposit of 500 Eur (Visa, Mastercard, French Cheque) for your property. This will be returned to you within 15 days of your departure assuming there are no charges for breakages.

Cleaning

End of Stay Cleaning is included in the accommodation price.

Payment Conditions

Ski France offers 3 options for payment:

1) Pay in 3 instalments if booked more than 60 days prior to arrival:
- 15% deposit at time of booking, 15% payment 60 days prior to arrival & 70% payment 30 days prior to arrival

2) Pay in 2 instalments if booked more than 30 days prior to arrival:
- 30% deposit at time of booking & 70% payment 30 days prior to arrival

3) Pay in 1 payment (always available and obligatory if booked less than 30 days prior to arrival)
- 100% at time of booking

Additional Extras:
- Any extras added more than 30 days prior to arrival will be added to final payment
- Any extras added after final payment to be paid at time of addition to booking

Cancellation Conditions

More than 30 days before the date of arrival : free cancellation
If you wish to cancel your reservation, the following amounts will be retained :
- Between 30 and 21 days before the date of arrival : 45% of the price of the holiday
- Between 20 and 8 days before the date of arrival : 60% of the price of the holiday
- Between 7 and 4 days before the date of arrival : 90% of the price of the holiday
- Less than 4 days before the date of arrival, no show, interruption, early departure : 100% of the price of the holiday.
