Valmeinier

The mountain resort of Valmeinier is situated at an altitude of 1900m and is the latest of the resorts to be built in the Maurienne Valley. Located in the Maurienne Valley between Les Ecrins and La Vanoise National Parks, this village has all the charm and tradition of a typical mountain resort. Together with the beautiful alpine hikes and all the fresh air that comes with wonderful mountain activities, the accessibility and rustic charm make it a an ideal option for holidaymakers looking for a short mountain break.

Activities

Valmeinier has numerous sport and cultural activities on offer and is a fantastic starting point for a number of hiking trails. Mountain biking, road cycling on the alpine routes, rock climbing, paragliding, canyoning and swimming in the nearby lakes, are all available under the protective eye of the Mont Thabor.

Things to see

The traditional church or Valloire's market, where you can pick up some delicious local produce, both provide an alternative to the usual alpine activities. The 'Butterfly Path' is a popular walking route, which can be taken independently or as a guided tour, and a pleasant option for nature enthusiasts.

Deposit

Upon arrival, you have to pay a deposit of 400Eu (Visa, Mastercard, French Cheque) for your property. It will be returned to you 15 days after your departure with any necessary deductions made for breakages or additional cleaning.

Cleaning

End of Stay Cleaning is not included in the accommodation price and clients are required to clean the property before departure. Please note that cleaning products are not always provided.

An End of Stay Cleaning deposit of 56-140Eu (depending on type) will be taken upon arrival which will be returned along with your Damage Deposit.

Payment conditions

Ski France offers 3 options for payment:

1) Pay in 3 instalments: 10% deposit at the time of booking, 10% two months before the date of arrival and the remaining balance one month before the date of arrival. This method of payment is only available for bookings made by telephone more than 70 days before the stay.
2) Pay in two instalments: 10% deposit at the time of booking and payment of the remaining balance 14 days before the date of arrival. This method of payment is only available when the booking is made more than 15 days before the arrival date.
3) Pay in 1 instalment: pay the full amount at the time of booking and receive a discount of 15 GBP on the overall price of the stay. This method of payment is valid for stays of 7 nights or more, booked more than 40 days before arrival and for a minimum purchase of 150 GBP.

- Any extras added more than 15 days prior to arrival will be added to the final payment
- Any extras added after the final payment to be paid at the time of addition to booking.
-If the booking was made under the 'non refundable' terms, the total amount will be debited at the time of the booking (the discount of 15 GBP is not available on these prices).

Visa, Mastercard, American Express, cheques*, holiday vouchers*.
*(only for reservations made more than a month before arrival).
For payments desired by cheque or holiday vouchers the deposit must be paid by way of debit/credit card - Visa, Mastercard, American Express and the second and/or third payment can be made by cheque or holiday voucher.
Arrival date less than 15 days: The total amount of the booking must be paid in full online, by debit/credit card at the time of booking.

Cancellation conditions

1) If you choose Free Cancellation Conditions
If the client cancels a reservation the following amounts will be retained:
-More than 30 days before the arrival date: repayment of the deposit
-Between 30 days and the date of arrival: 100% of the total price will be retained.
-No show: the total price of the reservation will be retained

2) If you choose Standard Conditions
If the client cancels a reservation the following amounts will be retained:
-More than 30 days before the date of arrival: 30% of the price of the holiday
-Between 30 days and 21 days before arrival: 45% of the price of the holiday
-Between 20 days and 8 days before arrival: 60% of the price of the holiday
-Between 7 days and 4 days before arrival: 90% of the price of the holiday
-Less than 3 days before arrival: 100% of the price of the holiday

3) If you choose Non Refundable Conditions
As part of the low price non-refundable offer, in the case of a cancellation you will be invoiced for the total amount at any time
