Les Menuires - Resort description & ski information

As one of the least expensive resorts in the immense Three Valleys ski area, Les Menuires is a great choice for families and groups with a good range of ski runs and almost guaranteed sunshine. This purpose-built resort may not look fantastic, but you can't argue over the beauty of its setting, and with one of the biggest skiing areas in the Three Valleys, looks really don't matter.

Skiing in Les Menuires

Les Menuires has something for everyone when it comes to skiing. Around the village itself there is plenty for beginners and intermediates, while further out, and especially on La Masse, experts will find plenty of challenges in both black runs and off-piste. There is a good snowpark here, with half and quarter pipes and boarder cross, along with an area where beginners can find their feet. From Les Menuires you have access to the entire Three Valleys area, which is home to 600km of pistes, and is considered one of the best and largest ski areas in the world. It contains a staggering 52 green runs, 128 blue, 123 red and 33 black, not to mention endless off-piste opportunities and some really wonderful scenery. The resort

As a resort for families and dedicated skiers, Les Menuires falls a little short on nightlife, though you'll still find a decent smattering of bars and restaurants to unwind in after a long day on the slopes. There's a good fitness centre here for non-ski activities such as swimming and exercise classes, and where children can indulge in anything from ping-pong to trampolining. Outside, kids and adults alike can head to Lugeland if they fancy hurtling downhill on inflatable rings, whilst the less brave can follow local walking trails with or without snowshoes. Finally, there are plenty of shops, and even a cinema to enjoy if all that should prove too much.
