For more restaurants, shops, bars and amenities guests can head into nearby Valloire, approximately 12km away.

Valmeinier

The ski resort of Valmeinier comprises two villages, the original village at 1500m altitude and the purpose-built resort at 1900m, located in the Maurienne Valley between Les Ecrins and La Vanoise National Parks. There's some fantastic skiing available in Valmeinier, and with lower prices than better-known resorts and easy access from the motorway and airports, it's a great option for an affordable, family ski holiday. With a selection of gentle greens and blues on your doorstep, the resort is ideal for beginners and those who prefer slower skiing. More experienced skiers are also well-catered for due to easy access to the 150km of slopes in the rest of the Galibier-Thabor ski area which Valmineier shares with neighbouring Valloire.

The Galibier-Thabor

Valmeinier links to the neighbouring resort of Valloire to form the larger Galibier-Thabor ski area. Offering 150km of slopes, 70% of which are above the altitude of 2000m, visitors to the area are almost guaranteed good snow quality. The ski area is spread across 1600 hectares, with an altitude range of 1430m to 2600m, allowing for all levels of skiers to be satisfied with the variety of runs on offer.

Activities

To explore the beautiful mountains without donning skis, there's plenty to keep visitors active in Valmeinier. Snowshoe walking is particular popular, and there's paragliding for a bird's eye view of the resort. While those travelling with children may enjoy sledging or dog sledding. A bowling alley and cinema are both available within the resort, and the spa area within the residence offers a sauna and jacuzzi to help relax and unwind.

Deposit

Upon arrival, you have to pay a deposit of 400Eu (Visa, Mastercard, French Cheque) for your property. It will be returned to you 15 days after your departure with any necessary deductions made for breakages or additional cleaning.

Cleaning

End of Stay Cleaning is not included in the accommodation price and clients are required to clean the property before departure. Please note that cleaning products are not always provided.

An End of Stay Cleaning deposit of 56-140Eu (depending on type) will be taken upon arrival which will be returned along with your Damage Deposit.

Payment conditions

Ski France offers 3 options for payment:

1) Pay in 3 instalments: 10% deposit at the time of booking, 10% two months before the date of arrival and the remaining balance one month before the date of arrival. This method of payment is only available for bookings made by telephone more than 70 days before the stay.
2) Pay in two instalments: 30% deposit at the time of booking and payment of the remaining balance 30 days before the date of arrival. This method of payment is only available when the booking is made more than 31 days before the arrival date.
3) Pay in 1 instalment: pay the full amount at the time of booking and receive a discount of 15 GBP on the overall price of the stay. This method of payment is valid for stays of 7 nights or more, booked more than 40 days before arrival and for a minimum purchase of 150 GBP.

- Any extras added more than 30 days prior to arrival will be added to the final payment
- Any extras added after the final payment to be paid at the time of addition to booking.
- If the booking was made under the 'non refundable' terms, the total amount will be debited at the time of the booking (the discount of 15 GBP is not available on these prices).

Arrival date less than 40 days: The total amount of the booking must be paid in full online, by debit/credit card at the time of booking. 2) Pay in full (always available and obligatory if booked less than 30 days prior to arrival)

Cancellation conditions

1) If you choose Free Cancellation Conditions
If the client cancels a reservation the following amounts will be retained:
-More than 30 days before the arrival date: repayment of the deposit
-Between 30 days and the date of arrival: 100% of the total price will be retained.
-No show: the total price of the reservation will be retained

2) If you choose Standard Conditions
If the client cancels a reservation the following amounts will be retained:
-More than 30 days before the date of arrival: 30% of the price of the holiday
-Between 30 days and 21 days before arrival: 45% of the price of the holiday
-Between 20 days and 8 days before arrival: 60% of the price of the holiday
-Between 7 days and 4 days before arrival: 90% of the price of the holiday
-Less than 3 days before arrival: 100% of the price of the holiday

3) If you choose Non Refundable Conditions
As part of the low price non-refundable offer, in the case of a cancellation you will be invoiced for the total amount at any time
