Vaujany
This picture perfect town is the ideal place for those wanting to enjoy some beautiful views as they make the most of the fantastic slopes in the area. The small resort is home to a small selection of shops, bars and restaurants, and retains the authentic charm of the French Alps. The après ski scene is very small, so this is the perfect place for families, couples and groups looking to simply get away from it all. Located close to the main street, Les Valmonts de Vaujany is close to the centre of the town, ideal for those wanting to make the most of the picturesque town.

Ski Area
There are plenty of activities to enjoy on and off the mountains, and the wider ski area offers both advanced and beginner skiers the chance to explore a huge range of pistes. The Vaujany / Oz ski area has 33 km of groomed slopes, made up of seven green, 11 blue, nine red and three black runs ideal for everyone. The huge Alpe d’Huez ski area is easily accessible from Vaujany, and offers some fantastic skiing for visitors of all levels and abilities.
Made up of the villages of Alpe d’Huez, Auris, Clavans, Le Freney d’Oisans, La Garde, Oz en Oisans, Villard Reculas and Vaujany there is so much to be explored. At the top, at an altitude of 10,156 feet, visitors can enjoy some incredible views over Mont Blanc, Grand Paradis and the Ecrin National Park. The vast expanse of slopes offers something for everyone, with ski schools galore, as well as lots of off-piste skiing available, and 250 km of downhill slopes. There is also a 7,410 acre snow park, with competitions, snowboarding, cross country skiing and more available.
Activities
There is plenty to keep families, couples and groups entertained on a visit to Vaujany, although the main attraction of the resort is its quiet tranquillity. Here visitors can enjoy the stunning mountains and access to a huge ski domain, with a peaceful end to the day in one of the town’s restaurants. For days when the conditions are bad there’s a cinema, as well as an ice rink, or you could even try your hand at curling. Families will enjoy wrapping up warm for a day of dog sledding, while there is also a snowmaking plant tour in the larger Alpe d’Huez area. For some excellent ways to view the winter wonderland of the mountains, guests can also try snowshoeing and paragliding during their holiday.
