winter summer

Situated within the world's largest ski domain, The 3 Valleys, Les Menuires offers a wonderful holiday destination, filled with sporting activities and après ski entertainments. However, its charm isn't exclusive to only the winter months. The summer brings some incredible opportunities to explore the thawed out mountain landscape and offers visitors a huge variety of other sporting adventures, from paragliding to a wonderful new swimming centre where guests can make the most of the warm Alpine sunshine.

The Resort

One of the great advantages of Les Menuires is that the whole area retains the traditional wooden architecture the Alps has become so famous for, keeping it in perfect harmony with the breath-taking scenery surrounding the resort. There is enough to keep you busy throughout the day as well as delicious traditional dining and vibrant bars to see you through until the morning.

Our luxury self-catered apartments, Les Chalets de L'Adonis, offer spacious and private living for groups of up to ten people. Located only 100m from the nearest lift, each apartment is equipped with either a terrace or a balcony where guests can spend their days taking in the picturesque surroundings.

Summer sport

Les Menuires is renowned for the huge range of sporting activities and facilities available to its residents. As well as traditional ways to explore the mountain, such as hiking and mountain biking, there are also more unusual activities for the whole family to enjoy. For an aerial view of the mountains, paragliding tours are available, showcasing views of the Belleville valley, with tours starting at around Eur85 and offering unparalleled excitement.

With over 8km of private piste, Rocn' Bike offers the perfect introduction to mountain biking and is accessible to everyone, with friendly and helpful guides who will get you started. Learn how to slalom and experience new and exhilarating cycling sensations.

Aquafun and Wellness centre

One of the most exciting new attractions to the region is the Aquafun and Wellness centre. This indoor water complex covers over 3,500m² and offers fun and relaxation to all ages. The main aquafun pool has underwater seating, waves and massage jets, plus there is a whole area specifically designed for children, with a kids' pool and slides. For adults only there is a Wellness area, offering total relaxation and indulgence; with Jacuzzis, water massages, a sauna and beauty treatments - an ideal place to unwind after some hard mountaineering during the day.

Relax indoors

For a drier way to relax there is also a cinema in the resort, Les Bruyeres Cinema, which has two screens showing a diverse selection of films. Guests will also find a wide range of activities within the Chalets de L'Adonis itself; including an indoor pool, supermarket and sauna. If you choose to stay in the apartments themselves, each comes fully equipped to keep the family entertained, with a television and board games.

Super staff

In keeping with the wonderful culinary traditions of the French Alps there are some gorgeous restaurants and bars in the area where guests can soak in the warm and friendly atmosphere. La Fromagerie des Belleville is a little hidden gem in the region and a favourite among tourists and locals and, as the name suggests, specialises in cheese fondue. They also offer a range of rustic French specialities such as onion soup and steak. The staff are exceptionally welcoming and are always on offer to provide advice on how to improve their famous fondues. With prices varying between Eur15-30 this is a great place to indulge after a day on the mountain.

Fabulous food

Known for its incredibly high standard of food, L'Ours Blanc is a must for any foodie staying in Les Menuires. Serving hearty meat and fish dishes at very reasonable prices (around Eur15 for a main course), they also have a terrace where guests can take in the panoramic views.

For a traditional chalet experience there is no better place than the Chalet du Sunny. Situated in the heart of the mountains this is a great spot to fill up after exploring the mountain. Serving dishes in keeping with most restaurants in the area, such as tartiflette, pizza and burgers, as well as table service they also provide a self-service bar for speedier dining. It should be noted that this is only open for lunch service, between 2-5pm, during which live music and DJ sets are often played to accompany the meals.

Brilliant bars

Because Les Menuires is such a family-friendly destination, the nightlife on offer is not quite as vibrant as some of the other resorts in the Alps. However, there are a number of bars and pubs to unwind at after an activity-filled day.

Bar Le Tilbury is a typical French alpine bar; decked out in wooden pine it provides an atmospheric setting to sip one of their draft beers or enjoy a spirit from their extensive collection. For a more upmarket offering there is Le Kube piano bar, where guests can enjoy live music and comfortable sofas. This is also a trendy spot to try one of their cocktails. Live music starts at around 5:30pm and DJ sets usually kick off around 10pm.

The liveliest spot in town is definitely La Grotte du Yeti. This Dutch run favourite is slightly further out of the resort than other bars but it's certainly worth the effort.

Super staff

Most of the lifts still operate during the summer months (from July to August) for pedestrians and mountain bikers. These are open on alternating days around Les Menuires and Saint Martin de Belleville.

Childcare and family facilities

As with most of the resorts in the area, childcare is available and Les Menuires' official website offers a list of babysitters available as well noting kids' clubs options.

Parking

If you decide to stay at Chalets de L'Adonis during your visit to Les Menuires, free parking is available.
