Watch: Exploring Moliets as a 10-year-old

Last week we saw the adventures of Jenography in Moliets, and this week it’s the turn of Who’s the Mummy?’s Sally and her daughter Flea! We invited the exploratory pair to spend a week with us in Moliets, where they bravely undertook a huge range of activities.

Watch the video below for the full low-down of their time in Moliets.

The Villas

They stayed at our Villas la Clairiere aux Chevreuils, in a 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom villa with a private pool. Just 1km to the beach, and surrounded by cycle paths through the Landes Forest, we thought these villas would be the perfect setting for an adventurous pair such as Sally and Flea.

All the villas offer a comfortable living room, a spacious kitchen with a washing machine and tumble dryer, bathrooms with separate toilets, and a private garden with a terrace and a swimming pool, in which Flea definitely made the biggest splash!

Moliets Activities

First off, Sally and Flea set off to Ecole de Surf for a morning’s surf lessons. Ecole de Surf provides surf lessons at €35 for two hours, including all rental gear and instruction. Flea took to it like a duck to water (we couldn’t resist).

Next the pair headed to the Moliets Golf Course for a two-hour instruction; kids’ lessons start at €60 for two hours. Watch the video to see them sending golf balls soaring off over 50m and zooming away in a golf buggy!

Flea also undertook some skateboard lessons, at the Skatelandes school. Lessons start from €25 for 90 minutes that had her doing ollies with ease.

They were able to explore Moliets thoroughly with bike rental from Loca-Velo, where bike rental starts from €39 for 6 days. Finally, Sally and Flea took a trip to Adrenalin Parc, and were soon swinging through the treetops on zip wires, clambering over ladders and around obstacles. Adrenalin Parc costs €10-€20 for three hours.

Eating like a local

Flea was very brave in trying a local speciality – snails! Watch her first response on the video, which is surprisingly positive! We have it record that she went on to enjoy three more of these garlicky nuggets.

The duo also visiting Hotel Grille L’Ocean, enjoying a seafood platter. Sally’s review? The ‘best oysters in Moliets!’ The hotel’s restaurant offers the freshest seafood and traditional French food on the seaside, with a large outdoor terrace and floor to ceiling french windows.
